Doug Greig – Beech Grove, Indiana

The list of entering racers for the prestigious crossover weekend in September begins with the defending king. 2007 and 2011 World Figure 8® Champion Doug Greig is on a mission to match to his historic season just one year ago. The veteran driver and prolific car builder not only won the $20,035 first place prize in the Three Hour Endurance Race®, he captured the $10,000 Chase for the Cup Speedrome Late Model crown and the steely nerve needed to take the overall World Figure 8® Tour point title as well. This year Greig has spent many weeks atop his home track point standings against a field of hungry challengers, several who compete in cars constructed at his shop. His resume includes many distinct honors and titles. A country of contenders has dethroning Doug from the top of the mountain as a goal while he aims at becoming the first repeat winner since 2005. Greig will be making his 23

rd appearance in the World Figure 8® Championship.
